When Tokiko, a working woman in her late 20's, is forced off of her calm and carefully timed routine, she discovers that a more spontaneous lifestyle isn't so bad.

This score is for shakuhachi, small string ensemble, piano, taiko, and jazz percussion. I decided to create a repeating theme for each work day.  Woodblock is used as an aural cue when Tokiko checks her watch. Shakuhachi and taiko are traditional Japanese instruments that I featured in transitions, as a reference to our protagonist's cultural heritage, as well as her mood. Full short film.
